Good Times and Friends

This week has turned out to be one of the most eventful and fun since, well some time now. Besides the fact that it was the second week of school and we all know how those are, it was good.

The best part of the week I must say was the fact that my best friend who live across the country from me came down to visit for the week. She told me she was coming down two weeks before and when I found out I was truly excited. I met her our junior year in high school. We had like three classes together so I think it was inevitable that we'd be friends. We had some good times that year and so many others since then.

She came over on Monday after my classes and hung out for most of the rest of the day. We catch'ed up since our last letters while we drove around town doing some errands my mom had sent me to do. After we had finished we had some dinner and went to other mutual friends house while I waited for my sister to call me after band practice. We spent the time talking outside about stuff such as how much people have changed and look like now since we graduated high school. It was a relax full/catch up nice day.

The next couple of days were just filled with school, which weren't actually that bad since I finally got my books in the mail. Nothing eventful but not bad.

On Thursday was when this event occurred. I hadn't been to Six Flags since sometime during a high school summer vacation. It was quite a fun day. The only down factor of the trip was that it was only about like a million degrees out. We had only been there for about two hours and we already felt exhausted. We took a few sitting breaks from time to time to regenerate some energy that the heat was taking away from us. We went on a couple rides and we never really even had to wait in line which was awesome. We even went on twice for some. After we left the park we went down to get something to eat in town. We may have came home exhausted but I think it was worth it.

Friday wasn't as eventful but I spent the majority of the day editing some videos which you will be able to see the completed versions soon.

Today was pretty much a homework catch up day. I had put off doing my homework all week and it came down to today to do it. I am merely finished I just have to do my math homework which will only take me about half an hour so its all good. Besides homework, I went out to breakfast with my sisters and mom today and procrastinated a few hours while they cleaned our carpet.

All in all it was a good week. My friend leaves tomorrow which im sad about but she comes back in four months and to stay so that makes up for those four loner months I will be having lolz. So until then we will keep writing/facebooking it up till then.

So much for trying

So evidently as you can see this whole blog thing hasn't worked out very well. It's been almost three months since my last post, and I can assure you I haven't tried much of the blogging even though I know that I have had time. Guilty. But I'm here now and I will gladly ignore my last statement and recommence once more.

These last three months have involved much of my summer vacation. Which would most likely sound like many exciting and fun things to blog about, unfortunately it has not completely been so. The highlight of my summer has to be the HBP release. As many Harry Potter fans, it has been quite a wait for this release with all the date changes, but finally it is out.

I really enjoyed the movie when it comes down to effects, shots, scenery, and all that production type of stuff. Every since I began taking film production classes, it seems that every time I watch a movie, that is the first aspects I notice. I really liked the colors used in the movie it made it feel so Potterlike(?). The next thing I noticed of course was how much of the book was in the movie. I think there were several chunks of important information missing from this movie that I think should have somehow been at least hinted to because I'm not quite sure how they are going transition them to the next one. The one scene that kind made me a little like 'OMG what is this!?" was the burrow fire scene. I read via Leaky the reason as to why Yates decided to add this scene. It kind of makes sense but at the same time its like what are you going to do about the wedding scene. I understand that if the viewer has not read the book, it is difficult to understand the magnitude of what is occurring. Another thing that I liked was that it was funny. Scenes like the felix felicis and where Harry and Ron are talking about Ginny and Dean were so funny. Tom Felton's did a fantastic job portraying Draco's situation. I could probably gone on forever about other stuff about the film but all in all as a film I enjoyed it.

Besides that anticipation, my summer has involved a lot of family gatherings, reading, learning to play keyboard, a quinceanera, game nights, and staying home hitting up the interwebz. I start school on the 17th of this month and its basically around the corner. Kind of excited for it in a kind of strange crazy way but at the same time not. The not part is because I start school at 8am this semester and I was getting used to my 930am classes, at least it will only be twice a week. Well its late and I must wake up early later to take my sister to band camp, so I'll hopefully see ya'll soon.

Blogging

So this is my official attempt at starting to blog. I've realized that every time I try to blog I never stick to it. The most has been for about two days in a row and then I just slowly drifted away from blogging. But this time I am going to try my best to continue for as long as I can. I feel like it will help me express myself.

This weekend as you all may be aware was mothers day. We actually celebrated this event a day early and on through Sunday. My mothers mom came down from the southern part of Mexico to Tijuana. We went down to spend the day with her and my aunts and well the moms in our family. It was fun. We also got to meet the newest member of the family. My cousin's baby. She was born on the 28th of April roughly around 1am. She is soo adorable! Its kinda weird to look at my cousin and feel like she is the mother of that child. Not because she is not a fit mother but because you never think about some one having kids. It's kind of like you expect to always be young and never grow old or have any major changes among those close family members or friends. Have you ever thought about that?

Today I was not really looking forward to going to class. Mainly because I felt sleep deprieved. I felt so tired this morning. During my first class, which is an accounting class, I was so close to falling asleep. I felt my head bobbing and my eyes closing. I kept drinking water to try and stay awake. Fortunantly towards the end, the professor split us into partners and we had to do a little work. That woke me up for some reason. After that class, I went to my public speaking class. We have persuassive speeches for basically the rest of the class sessions so theres not much work to do there. I was asked to time the presenters so that kep me awake throughout that class. Although that class never makes me bored or anything like that and never feel sleepy. It's a nice atmosphere, which is awesome considering the fact that I was extremely nervous upon taking this course. I was not looking forward to doing speeches and all that, but as soon as the teacher walked in and said something funny, I felt like the class wasn't going to be so bad. Honestly, the professor for this class has been my favorite since I started college. So that makes going to class worth it and her day to day schedule for that class is not hard at all so two thumbs up for that.

Well the day is not even half way compelet yet and there is much to do so I must go now. I have to start cooking dinner before my mom gets home and then there is more to do. I will do my best to update in the next couple of days so i'll ttyl!
